The Back Alley Betties are four friends that truly enjoy playing a variety of music together and have an amazing amount of fun when they get together to practice or play for others. The members have been playing music since they were teenagers and, collectively, have a huge store of music that they love to play. The members of the “Betties” are Anne McConkey, Bob Hedrick, (both on mandolin, guitar, and vocals), Paul Ries, ( bass), and Sue Hedrick,(ukulele and vocals). When asked about what type of music the group plays, it can best be described as an acoustic blend of folk, celtic, rock, bluegrass, and original songs. Some of the artists they cover are the Beatles, Indigo Girls, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Kacey Musgraves, and many others.
