Since the age of 10, Joe has studied the classical guitar with Miles Jackson at the NCMA. He has won multiple NCMA Scholarship Competitions (receiving honors) and played in the Emerge concert for rising young talent. Last year, Joe passed his Grade 8 classical guitar exam with distinction. Joe’s musicality goes beyond classical guitar, as he plays percussion in the Nelson Brass Band, learns piano, plays jazz guitar in the Jazz trio ‘Step It Up’ and enjoys creating electronic music through the software Ableton 12. He hopes to pursue a career in music.
