Maxayn Lewis is an American Soul singer, musician, songwriter who began her career in the 60’s as a member of the Ikettes in the “Ike & Tina Turner Review” In the 70’s she sang lead in the band “Maxayn”. She was described as a cross between Aretha Franklin and Roberta Flack. Lewis is a very prolific backing vocalist sing background parts with various acts including The Gap Band, Donna Summer, Ray Charles, Celine Dion, Joe Cocker, Johnny Guitar Watson, Bonnie Raitt, Simple mInds, Duran Duran, Smokey Robinson, Sammy Hagar, Morris Day, Bobby Bland, Ricky Martin and Britney Spears, and many many more.
Allen Hinds, a native of Auburn, Alabama, grew up steeped in Blues and R&B before expanding into jazz and fusion. A Berklee alum and longtime Musicians Institute faculty member, he has released six solo albums, including The Good Fight, featuring his well-loved take on “Keep Forgetting.” His music appears on major TV networks, and he has performed or recorded with artists such as Hiroshima, Randy Crawford, Gino Vannelli, Patti Austin, Roberta Flack, Stevie Wonder, and Bobby Caldwell.
Bobby Watson, is a renowned bassist whose career includes recording and performing with many top artists. He earned a Gold Single with Billy Preston for “Nothing from Nothing” and a core member of Rufus and Chaka Khan, and two Grammy Awards. Bobby’s bass work is also featured on Michael Jackson’s Off the Wall (1980), most notably on the hit “Rock With You.” His additional recording credits include Patti Austin, René & Angela, Janet Jackson, the Pointer Sisters, Jennifer Holliday, and Plush featuring Siedah Garrett. Bobby has performed live with Sinbad, Booker T. (of the MG’s), Anita Baker, Bobby Kimball of Toto, and Al McKay’s Earth, Wind & Fire All-Stars tour for two consecutive years.
Jonathan Dressel is an American drummer in Los Angeles, He has been the drummer for Cleto & the Cletones, house band for Jimmy Kimmel Live! Since 2003. Jonathan is active in the Jazz, Smooth Jazz and Pop LA music scenes. Played with and for Don Randi, Keiko Matsui, Gregg Wright, Rico Belled of the Rippingtons, University of Miami Concert Jazz Band, John Waite, Colin Hay, Lisabeth Scott, Kim Erin, Remba Records, Darth Vader.
