Felix Y Los Gatos is a dynamic band from New Mexico, led by Felix Gato Peralta on vocals, button accordion, guitar, and harmonica. Joined by a driving drummer and bassist, the band delivers an intoxicating blend of cumbia blues, zydeco rhythms, Tex-Mex swing, and New Mexico soul—think green chile gumbo with dashes of outlaw country and mystical Latino grooves.
Felix channels his Genízaro and Chicano roots into every note, fusing traditional Nuevo Mexicano elements (inditas, corridos, Matachines influences) with bluesy harmonica runs and accordion-led Cajun cumbia that gets crowds moving.
As a national and international touring act (U.S., UK, Europe), they’ve built a reputation for powerful, heritage-honoring live performances that celebrate survival, healing, and the Southwest’s rich cultural mash-up—highlighted by a featured performance at the prestigious Kennedy Center’s Arts Across America program.
Felix Gato Peralta—award-winning songwriter (New Mexico Hispano Music Awards, Native Song of the Year), mentor, and cultural bearer—also brings raw storytelling to the stage. Whether it’s a foot-stomping zydeco bounce or a soulful blues lament, Felix y Los Gatos turns every set into a celebration of roots and rhythm.

Compass Point is part of the NOTO Common Consumption Area. This allows you to purchase an alcoholic beverage from a licensed CCA vendor and walk through the Common Consumption Area. All drinks within the CCA MUST be served in a branded cup from a licensed CCA vendor in the NOTO Arts District.
