Join the Salsa Ithacana band for an unforgettable evening celebrating the rhythms, melodies, and soul of salsa and Latin jazz. This isn’t just a concert—it’s an immersive journey that invites you to actively experience the joy and energy of these vibrant art forms.
You can dance, participate in activities, or just chill and listen to the band!
Each song highlights a unique aspect of Latin jazz, and you’ll be invited to take part in a variety of fun activities — from dancing & drawing to writing & verbalizing, and even playing along with the group!

Experience the vibrant rhythms of salsa and the rich melodies of Afro-Cuban music with Salsa Ithacana, the premier live salsa band in Ithaca and the broader Finger Lakes NY region. From the heart-thumping beats of mambo to the smooth grooves of bolero, Salsa Ithacana offers a diverse repertoire that guarantees to light up any event. Our musical selections include:
Salsa / Afro-Cuban: Enjoy timeless salsa tunes that bring the dance floor to life. By ‘salsa’ we mean a sampling of merengue, bembe, gauracha, son, guajira, guaguanco, mozambique, cha cha cha, bolero, and other related styles.
Latin Jazz: Many of the tunes we play are jazz standards performed in various Latin styles.
Latin Rock: We have plenty of Santana and rock-influenced Latin repertoire as well.
Brazilian Grooves: We also play bossa nova, samba, and partido alto classics.
