Our final gig of the month is the brilliant Amanita Grove - Music/Band playing a free event at Fat Cats on Friday 18 October at 7.30pm.Amanita Grove is principally an acoustic duo featuring Cheryl Silvawood on vocals and Jules Moberly on Spanish guitar. Their original music and covers encompass Latin infused elements with soulful vocals, Spanish guitar, loops and low-fi rhythms.
For this new live music series - and as part of their #musicmycelium, they will be performing as ‘Amanita Grove Collective’, a multicultural Afro Latin inspired band, an interchangeable outfit that performed live at this year’s Barnstaple Fringe Theatrefest.
For this particular event, the collective will be showcasing themselves as a quartet, featuring Cheryl Silvawood (vocals), Jules Moberly (Spanish guitar), Emmanuel Segun Atoyebi (saxophone) and Michael Wright (double bass).
