About this Event

Join Us for a Sunday Morning of Gospel Music!

Back by popular demand, acclaimed soloists Monica D. Murphy, soprano, and Isaiah Bell, tenor, return to Selwyn Avenue for a Sunday morning filled with the joy, energy, and spirit of gospel music.

Following an enthusiastic response to their appearance with us in May, Monica and Isaiah reunite with the Selwyn Avenue choir and a live band for Robert Ray’s Gospel Mass—a setting of the traditional worship service rooted in the sound and spirit of African American gospel music.

Led by Music Director Dr. Dareion Malone, with Dr. Frank Watkins on piano, Willie Walker on bass, and Evan Corey on percussion, this will be a Sunday morning at Selwyn unlike the ordinary.

Come join us for a morning of music and community. All are welcome!
