Live From The Lounge ft. Fables

After a hugely successful first event, we're super excited to be hosting our second Live from the Lounge, this time with the wonderful Fables.

For the past decade, Jessica Bailey's Fables ensemble has been a familiar fixture in Tāmaki Makaurau's independent music scene. Their sound elegantly marries the intimate qualities of folk revival music with the expansive sensibilities of alt-country and Americana, drawing comparisons to Gillian Welch, Laura Marling, and Adrianne Lenker.

Underpinned by elegant guitar work and naturalistic instrumentation, Fables embraces both the beauty of quiet moments and the life-affirming power of a song in full flight, creating deeply human musical experiences that linger long after the final note.

Our Live from the Lounge series is more than just a morning pop-up - it's an intentional move to create something intimate, cosy, and real.

No stage. No distance. Just artists and audience sharing a space designed for genuine connection.

Set in the lounge of our café and workshop, these sessions are unfiltered and unapologetic, giving artists the freedom to explore, play, and create something unique. Each performance is recorded live, capturing a one-off moment that can be felt again and again.
