Hernster is the experimental project of Amsterdam-based duo Ron Groen and Sjon Harmans. Their music challenges the boundaries of fixed genres, instead choosing to invert the writing process with perversion and jest. Beginning in 2019 and taking curious inspiration from rap, noise and free jazz, Hernster has released albums each year since. Their new album Tennis is set for release Summer 2023. Ron and Sjon bring their challenger energy to live performances, where they use rap, improvisation, theatrics and antics to excite and animate their audience. Sy-Ki - Tara Thomas, an artist known as sy-ki, is a Dutch producer and songwriter. Her genre can best be described as Alternative Bedroom Pop. She has been producing since 2018 and is influenced by artists like Clairo, The Cardigans and Grimes. sy-ki is a reference to Psyche, the Greek goddess of the soul, mind and personality. Psyche finds her soul through love. Like Psyche, Tara finds her soul through the thing she loves: creating music. Psyche also means butterfly in greek, which is how they imagined the soul.
