Live Figure Drawing

Interested in trying figure drawing for the first time or brushing up on your skills? Join us at NUMU for our monthly, self-guided figure drawing sessions! Each session will take place in our Flick Drawing Studio with a live model, easels, newsprint paper, and pencils. You are welcome to bring additional materials.

We will begin each two-hour session warming up with two and five-minute poses, followed by ten and twenty-minute poses. There will be a scheduled break midway through the session. All experience levels are welcome, but please note this is an uninstructed session. This is an opportunity to draw a live model and to connect with peers. A NUMU staff member will be present to facilitate the timing of the model’s poses.

Doors will be locked for the duration of the session, starting promptly at noon. Please arrive by 11:45 AM

Skill Level: Beginners+

Age: 18+

Materials included: Newsprint paper, pencils, easels, stools, drawing horses

Optional materials to bring: Sketch pad, drawing pencils, charcoal, pastels, etc.

CANCELLATION POLICY

This workshop requires a minimum of eight students. Bring your friends! NUMU will refund the registration fee in full should the museum cancel the class. Participants will be informed on Tuesday before the workshop. Refunds: We do not offer refunds as we compensate our models. We will transfer your ticket to the next available session upon request.
