A little bit about the pastors:
DawnCheré Wilkerson is a speaker, singer, songwriter, and pastor who loves nothing more than to encourage people of all ages to never give up! Her contagious joy and zeal bring a uniquely impacting perspective on life. DawnCheré and her husband, Rich, are the lead pastors of VOUS Church in Miami, FL. VOUS is a catalyst of faith, creativity, and diversity that celebrates the unique culture of its vibrant city. After an eight-year journey through infertility, DawnCheré and Rich have seen the faithfulness of God as they have welcomed their four children, Wyatt Wesley Wilkerson, Wilde Wesley Wilkerson, Waylon Wesley Wilkerson and Wolfgang Wesley Wilkerson into the world.
For Tauren Wells, the January 2024 launch of Church of Whitestone, serving North Austin’s Williamson County, is the divinely orchestrated fulfillment of a vision that began with a life changing moment in 2015. God gave Tauren the vision for a different kind of church, on inspired by Revelation 2:17. That passage speaks of God intimately holding a white stone, giving that stone to those who overcome, and “written on the stone is a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.” Married to his wife Lorna since 2011, the dynamic husband and wife co-lead pastors are steadfast in their commitment to take people beyond the surface areas of their lives and help them discover who God has created them to be. Sharing her God-given musical and detail-oriented gifting, Lorna has served as a worship pastor and has led ministries for 10 years while Tauren developed a successful career as an eight-time Dove Award-wining, eleven-time Grammy nominated, platinum selling recording artist and performer. Tauren and Lorna are devoted parents to four amazing sons, Kanaan, Lawson, Navy, and Banner, who are equally excited about the vision and impact of Church of Whitestone. Together, the Wells’ intent is to establish a church family that empowers people in Austin and around the world to discover their God-authored identity through whole-hearted relationship with God.
