Live at Meneer De Wit: Massimo Imperatore Trio

Live At Meneer De Wit is a series of intimate concerts hosted in the atmospheric basement of Meneer De Wit, presented in collaboration with Muziekacademie Amsterdam. As part of this partnership, the program will feature a series of concerts highlighting projects by the academy’s teachers.

Guided by Italian guitarist Massimo Imperatore—renowned for his eclectic guitar style and expressive, melodic approach—the trio strikes a perfect balance between individual virtuosity and group cohesion. Their repertoire includes both original compositions by Massimo and reinterpretations of jazz standards.

Guitarist and composer Massimo Imperatore was born in Naples. Based in Amsterdam since 2017, he holds a Master’s degree in Jazz Guitar from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He is an active part of the city's vibrant music scene, performing in a wide range of projects as both a bandleader and a sideman.

He performed at some of the most notable venues and festivals, among them “Red Light Jazz Festival” (Amsterdam), “So What’s Next” (Eindhoven), “Amsterdam JazzFest”, “Concert Gebouw” (Amsterdam), “Injazz Festival” (Rotterdam), “Grachten Festival” (Amsterdam), “Amarte studio concerts”, Amsterdam JAZZFEST, Jazz en de Walvis (Amsterdam), Zeeland Jazz (Middelburg) Bimhuis, Lantaren Venster (Rotterdam), King George (Cologne), Jazz Keller (Frankfurt), Iseo Jazz (IT), Umbria Jazz (IT), Casa Del Jazz (IT), Pescara Jazz Festival (IT), Kleipeda Jazz Festival (LT), GORS (LV), Bucharest Jazz Festival (RO), Transilvania Jazz Festival, (RO), Llubijana Jazz (SI).
