About this Event
The Middle East Institute (MEI) and Rola Z are proud to present LIVE at MEI: Voices from the Arab Diaspora, an evening of uplifting storytelling rooted in the rich tradition of Middle Eastern oral narrative. Arab-American comedians and storytellers take the stage to share personal tales of identity, memory, resilience, and belonging—brought to life with humor, candor, and heart. These human narratives will move between the poignant and the humorous, offering moments of laughter and reflection. At a time when the need for understanding feels especially urgent, storytelling creates space for empathy and shared recognition. Join us for an evening that brings people together through stories that resonate, surprise, and connect.

Rola Z (host & producer)
Yasmin Elhady (Hulu's Muslim Matchmaker)
