Style means art, and Oakland has plenty of both. As part of Oakland Style Week, Oakland Art Murmur invites you on the Live Art Walk, a specially curated walking tour through Uptown Oakland's most vibrant art spaces, each one showcasing incredible work by local artists.
This is not your usual art tour. Art meets performance: dance, music, live art making, and more, woven right into the gallery experience. Enjoy snacks and beverages along the way, and get a rare chance to meet the artists and creative minds shaping Oakland's cultural landscape.

MEET THE PERFORMERS
- — hosts your day and takes the stage for a stand-up comdedy set
- — neo-soul vocalist and songwriter blending Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop, blues, and jazz into a sound all their own
- & — dancers performing an excerpt from SEISMIC, a new work inspired by the Hayward Fault and the uncertainty it holds
- — poet and essayist from Oakland whose work agitates the state and speaks in service of the people
- Wesley Sparks Quartet — young jazz musicians of the Oakland School of the arts

This tour highlights some of Oakland's most celebrated galleries and creative spaces:
- — Big, Small and Everything In Between, Bay Area muralists Julie Engelmann, Amos Goldbaum, Liv Losee-Unger, Fernanda Martínez, and Deirdre Weinberg go intimate-scale
- — three shows in one: figurative portraiture, quiet plant studies, and bold political quilts
- — The Distance Between, work by currently and formerly incarcerated Black artists
- — Night Watch, Gregory Rick's charged reimagining of history painting
- — West Wild: American Culture, Paul Thompson's ode to cowboy life
- — Stereo Dynamic, a visual mixtape of music-inspired art

Tickets include the guided gallery tour, live performances, art making, snacks and beverages, and a gift of a hardcover art book from a Creative Growth artist.
This tour is presented by Oakland Art Murmur in collaboration with Visit Oakland as part of their annual Oakland Style Week event happening October 7 - 11, 2026.
