Bob Dorr and Friends will perform at the Leonard Grimes Memorial Amphitheater at Grimes Farm on Thursday, June 20 from 6:00-8:00pm. This event is free and open to the public, thanks to our sponsors--the Ann C. Keyser Trust and supportive members of the Friends of Marshall County Conservation. Food will be available for purchase from local food trucks. Join Bob Dorr with his unmistakable lead vocals and Jeff Petersen on his 1968 Gibson Flying V guitar, lap steel guitar, and vocals, as they will be once again taking the stage at the Leonard Grimes Amphitheater. They will entertain you with their sound that can only be described as blues/soul/rockabilly/reggae/creole/rhythm! A successful musician and radio host for over 40 years, Bob Dorr has been inducted into Iowa’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Iowa’s Blues Hall of Fame. Jeff Petersen is one of the Eastern Iowa Region’s best guitar players and a founding member of The Blue Band. He has performed for over 40 years and has twice been inducted into Iowa’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
Those attending may bring beer and wine to drink with them, but must abide by the following rules: All laws of the State of Iowa regarding consumption of alcohol will be strictly observed. Violation of state code with regard to alcohol consumption will result in expulsion from the area. No kegs, hard liquor, or glass beer bottles are allowed.
There is limited fixed seating at the amphitheater, so please bring a lawn chair to enjoy the show!
