Live After 5 returns to City Plaza in Downtown Raleigh with a brand new theme: a Celebration of Women in Music! 🌹Join your fellow fans on Fayetteville Street – North Carolina’s Main Street – for 4 electrifying evenings that will showcase the diverse talents and empowering voices shaping the music industry.
Live After 5 is a Sip n' Stroll friendly block party with live music, vendors, food trucks, wine + beer, exclusive offerings from local businesses, and more.
For this show, local musicians Elora Dash & AZUL will rock the stage with soulful, throwback covers of Beyoncé, Adele, Tina Turner, Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, and Aretha Franklin.
About the Artists -
At the nexus of R&B and neo-soul emerges Chapel Hill artist, Elora Dash; musician, vocalist, vocal coach, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Her stunning voice hits the highs and feels the lows; her music shows off an adventurous spirit. Taking inspiration from Hiatus Kaiyote, Erykah Badu, and Lauryn Hill, Dash appreciates the syncopation of spirit. Although Elora Dash is a solo artist, she primarily plays with a band comprised of all-star members of the NC music community: Brady Kennedy on drums, Daniel Combs on keys, Nick Williams on bass, and Colin Moser on guitar. Elora and her band aim to blend elements of jazz fusion, neo-soul, and R&B in their collaborative art. Her music is characterized by eclectic instrumentals and soulful vocals.
AZUL’s sound is as multicultural as her background. Her music is enriched by her Argentinian roots, travel, and relationships, while influenced by jazz, broadway, soul, gospel, blues, disco, Latin folk and Latin rock. She is emotional, empathetic, and empowered. She is driven to amplify opportunities for femme/queer/poc individuals in her band and on stage. AZUL sings (in Spanish, English, and French), dances, and plays trumpet. She’s as serious as she is silly, and she wants *you* to connect with that energy while she’s on stage.
