About the Festival:
A festival of BFA capstone projects created by Theatre & Performance and Dance majors at Simon Fraser University’s School for the Contemporary Arts. The culmination of the artists’ creative research over two semesters, Live Acts spans two weeks and includes: two collections of movement pieces, a late night talk show, a glam dance party, a smashing of bodies, an audio guided adventure, a crossed phone line, a history of Filipinx hospitality, a pineapple bun recipe, a folkloric world, a trashy sports arena, a crochet embodiment, a late capitalist game show, and a cartoon performance. In Propositions, ten senior dance majors share their research in an evening of solos and groups works. Performed by SCA undergraduates, these works move from camp to sensations of sound and spirals, to structured improvisation, mosh, play and more.
COVID-19 Safety:
Masks are encouraged on our campuses, particularly in spaces where people are in close proximity. Masks are not mandatory.
