About The Soundbath Instructor:

Alex Beckmann is a musician, producer, and sound bath facilitator residing in Queens, NY. He has toured the world as a drummer and makes electronic music under the moniker MMBLR. Alex weaves together the therapeutic use of sound with improvisational and meditative explorations.

About the musician: NYC-based Dutch Singer, Educator, Psychologist and Artist-preneur Vivienne Aerts busts myths around the ‘Jill of all trades’ paradigm with a nonchalance that leaves even the most skeptical purist taking a bow. A practicing clinical psychologist and choir conductor in Europe before she went on to be a Fulbright scholar and Suma Cum Laude Berklee graduate, her collaborators since have included some of the most iconic names in the world of jazz. Performing pieces from her new album 'Current' that she produced on a tiny sailboat.

About the Greenway Botanical Garden at the Naval Cemetery:

Before or after this event, speak to our gardeners and learn about the Greenway Botanical Garden at the Naval Cemetery (the Garden) and the Greenway and what goes into maintaining their beauty and accessibility for everyone! The Garden is fully operated, made open as a public space and able to provide free public programs like this solely by Brooklyn Greenway Initiative through the generosity of our supporters.

Location and Directions

Greenway Botanical Garden at the Naval Cemetery (formerly the Naval Cemetery Landscape). Enter at 61 Williamsburg St West between Kent and Flushing Avenues.

  1. If putting in directions in a GPS app / taking Uber or Lyft - we recommend inputting the GPS Pin of Kent Ave + Hooper Street and being dropped off there. While on Kent, make a right on Williamsburg West Street via foot. Google Maps does not take you to the entrance to the NCL if you add the NCL's address as your location. We're working to address this issue and appreciate your patience!

Transit: We are located on the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway and have free bike parking (racks) on site!

There is no parking lot for cars on site but street parking is nearbly on Kent Avenue or on Williamsburg Street West near Steuben Park.
