Little Sparrow is the musical project of singer-songwriter Katie Ware, blending cosmic folk with medieval textures and haunting storytelling. Her long-awaited second album, Feather Moon, journeys through myths, moonlit landscapes, wandering ghosts, and imagination across ten otherworldly tracks.
Formed in 2010, the name Little Sparrow was inspired by Guy Garvey, who nicknamed Katie “Cockney Sparrow.” Since releasing her debut album Wishing Tree in 2014, her music has received airplay on BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing as well as international radio.
Little Sparrow has performed at festivals including Manchester International Festival, Liverpool International Music Festival and Kendal Calling, alongside support slots with artists including Eddi Reader, Ian McCulloch (Echo and the Bunnymen) and Mike Scott (The Waterboys).
Known for her soaring vocals and atmospheric live performances, Katie performs with a talented ensemble of musicians with a rich blend of harmonies, strings, piano, guitars and percussion.
Feather Moon’s release marks a shift towards a darker, cinematic sound, while maintaining the heartfelt lyricism that defines her work. With a growing body of work and a compelling live presence, Little Sparrow continues to build a strong reputation on the UK’s independent music scene.

Jake Mattison is a singer-songwriter from Manchester whose raw, evocative lyrics and soulful sound have earned him recognition across the UK music scene. His debut EP, featured on The Guardian’s F&M Playlist and played on BBC Radio 6 Music, introduced a distinctive, soulful voice that blends heartfelt storytelling with rich, melodic craft.
