Join us for Little Sound Minds: Sing • Dance • Play, a relaxed and welcoming music class for toddlers and their grown-ups! Fresh after our summer collaboration with the San Diego Public Library, we are bringing our favorite music x mindfulness toddler event to the Arts District Liberty Station!

Each 45-minute session is filled with songs, rhythm, and movement that help little ones explore sound, express feelings, and build confidence, all while having fun together.

Created by a clinical psychologist and artist, the class blends music and play with gentle mindfulness and social-emotional learning (SEL) skills in simple, age-appropriate ways.

• 🎶 Welcome song & warm-up: sing names, stretch, and move together
• 💃 Dance & movement games: scarves, ribbons, and dancing fun
• 🥁 Instrument play: explore shakers, drums, and rhythm sticks
• 🎤 Singing time: easy call-and-response songs for focus and joy
• 📚 Story + calm-down song: practice listening and mindfulness
• 👋 Goodbye song: gentle transition and closing

No experience needed, just bring your energy and a smile!

Little Sound Minds gives toddlers a joyful space to move, explore, and connect.
Music helps children practice focus, coordination, and self-expression while deepening their bond with caregivers. Each class builds small moments of calm, confidence, and curiosity, one beat at a time.

Our classes are play-based and thoughtfully designed by Dr. Danessa Mayo, a clinical psychologist and artist.
We keep things light, flexible, and responsive to each child’s energy.
There’s room to wiggle, watch, or take a break, whatever your little one needs.

Ages 18 months – 5 years
Mixed-age, sibling-friendly. Babies in arms are always welcome!

We do our best to make every child feel comfortable and included:

• Visual cues and simple routines
• A quiet cozy spot if your child needs a break
• Volume-aware play and gentle pacing
• AAC and sensory-friendly supports
