A Fun Parent-Child Money & Life Skills Workshop for Ages 4–8
Little shoppers, big decisions!
What happens when your child wants to buy more than their money allows?
My Little Smart Shopper is a fun, hands-on parent-child workshop where children discover that money is limited and learn how to make choices through play.
Children become little shoppers as they explore mini shopping stations, compare prices and take on simple shopping challenges with a limited budget.
Through age-appropriate activities, they will practise deciding what to buy, what to leave behind and when to save for later.
No previous workshop experience is required. First-time little shoppers are welcome!

Through fun and interactive shopping challenges, your child will practise:
💰 Understanding money and budgets – discovering that money is limited and we cannot buy everything
🛒 Making choices – deciding what to buy when there are different options
🔍 Comparing prices – exploring how much things cost and what they can afford
🧠 Thinking and problem-solving – working through simple shopping decisions
🌱 Spending and saving – learning that sometimes we can choose to save for later
👨👩👧 Parents join the adventure too!
This is a parent-child learning experience, where you accompany your child on their shopping adventure.
Watch how your child makes choices, handles challenges and decides what matters most.
Along the way, discover how simple questions and gentle encouragement can help your child think independently and develop everyday money skills.
Sometimes, the best learning happens when we give children the space to decide for themselves!
🎯 Different children, different challenges
Every child learns at their own pace.
Our shopping challenges are designed with different levels of difficulty, allowing children aged 4–8 to participate according to their age, abilities and readiness.
There are no perfect shopping decisions. The focus is on exploring choices, thinking independently and learning through play.

Date: Saturday, 24 October 2026
Time: 4.30 PM – 6.00 PM
Duration: 90 minutes
Participation: 1 child + 1 accompanying parent/guardian
Location: 545 Orchard Road (Orchard MRT)
🎟️ Workshop Fee
S$60 per parent-child pair (Promotional Price)
Usual price: S$80
Each registration includes participation for one child and one accompanying parent/guardian.
All workshop activity materials will be provided.
🎒 What to bring
All activity materials and pens will be provided. Children are welcome to bring their preferred writing materials.
You may also wish to bring a light jacket as the workshop venue is air-conditioned.
