Little Satchmo is a contemporary reconsidering of Louis Armstrong's life and legacy through his relationship with the daughter whom the public never knew existed. Made with the participation of Armstrong's daughter, Sharon Preston-Folta, the film seeks to correct a historical narrative that has foundered in caricature for too long while exploring the impact of a father and child relationship at the heart of self identity and understanding legacy.
