Calling all aspiring Little Sailors! It’s time to report for duty and learn the ropes of how to work on a Great Lakes vessel and the all-important keys to water safety.Come join us at the Original Soo Locks Boat Tours starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27th for a fun-filled few hours of educational activities ideal for kiddos 5 and older.
Little Sailors will have the chance to try their hand at everything from throwing a life ring and handling lines to designing their own fleet flag and learning about the cargoes carried on the freighters. The nautical adventure will also include the chance to meet our captains and crew members, and some cute Little Sailor souvenirs. (while supplies last)
Park Rangers and volunteers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be leading several water safety activities for the kids and handing out water safety goody bags.
