We are beyond excited to finally share a special project that Iliana Villalobos and I have been working on. It is a first-of-its-kind experience, and it’s coming to the Rio Grande Valley!
If your child is full of energy, loves being creative, enjoys reading, demonstrates kindness toward others, or dreams of performing on a big stage, keep reading. �
Founded by Villalobos Law Firm and The Wrestling League, Little Legends of Lucha is a youth leadership, literacy, and confidence-building showcase designed to help children develop valuable life skills while having fun in a positive and supportive environment.
This is more than a competition. It’s an opportunity for children to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, express their creativity, develop leadership qualities, and become positive role models in their schools and communities.
Through reading, character creation, public speaking, and personal growth challenges, participants will develop skills that will benefit them both in and out of the spotlight.
� AGE DIVISIONS
� Tiny Legends (Ages 3-5)
� Junior Legends (Ages 6-8)
� Youth Legends (Ages 9-12)
� JUDGING CATEGORIES
� Reading Challenge
Participants will share a favorite book and demonstrate reading comprehension.
Reading logs are not required for ages 3-5.
� Legends Challenge (Values)
Children will demonstrate positive values such as kindness, respect, honesty, courage, and perseverance.
� Creativity Challenge
Participants will create and present their own original character or persona.
� Presentation Challenge
Judged on stage presence, energy, enthusiasm, and overall performance.
� Public Speaking Challenge
Judged on confidence, communication skills, eye contact, and audience engagement.
� REGISTRATION DATES
Early Registration:
July 1 – August 31
Late Registration:
September 1 – November 1
