A workshop on the fundamentals of traditional Chinese tea service, gongfucha style, with a three course tasting of top-shelf lineage teas with paired delicacies. Perfect for beginners and veterans alike, this tea service and workshop will leave you with knowledge of brewing basics and experience with some of the best teas in the world.

There are two workshop sessions. You will be asked to indicate your choice of timing during ticket purchase.

  1. 3-4 pm
  2. 4-5 pm
  3. 7-8 pm open apothecary and teashop

There will be an open apothecary and teashop space open from 7-8 pm.

The space will serve as an immersive gallery showcase of arbor artists' work, with ceramics, scents, paintings, installation, and more.

A sneak peek at a preliminary menu (subject to change & refinement):

  • 2022 aged longjing green tea with shiso & ginger foam (cold) paired with pear/osmanthus/shiso mochi
  • three course oolong tasting with (1) wuyiyancha (cliff tea/ wuyi mountain tea); (2) taiwanese dongfangmeiren (oriental beauty) or a high mountain oolong; (3) fenghuang dancong (phoenix dancong from guangzhou/canton) with traditional gongfucha service
  • aged top-shelf white tea with black sesame/honey truffles

silkpunkbaby is a bay-area artist working across sensory media to make spaces of ritual and renewal. Her practices span inkwork, sculpture, painting, tea, and performance to create contact zones between old practices and new forms.

arbor is a collective of artists making art to be lived in and with. Core interests to the collective include ecological design, multisensorial experiences, and the centrality of play and experimentation in the artistic process. We work across many media, including incense/perfume, ceramics, painting, botany, installation, tattoo, and more.
