A Joyful, Psychedelic Folk Adventure for All Ages!

Beloved by families across the Capital Region, Deb Cavanaugh & Dandelion Wine return to Caffè Lena for another unforgettable Little Folks Show! With their unique blend of psychedelic folk, playful energy, and cross-generational charm, this group transforms classic songs and creative originals into a magical musical experience for kids and grownups alike.

Using acoustic instruments—including Deb’s electric mountain dulcimer and guitar—the band weaves together influences from The Grateful Dead, Billie Holiday, Motown, jazz, blues, and traditional folk, creating music that feels both familiar and delightfully unexpected. Their shows are adventurous, warm, funny, and full of surprises—perfect for curious young ears and nostalgic adults.

Deb Cavanaugh, named Favorite Folk Artist at the 2022 Listen Up Awards and a two-time Eddie Award nominee (2024 & 2025), is a dynamic performer with decades of musical storytelling behind her. From singing in a choir directed by Duke Ellington at age 15 to fronting rock bands, folk ensembles, and now Dandelion Wine, Deb brings humor, heart, and an undeniable spark to every stage.

Dandelion Wine has been featured on WMHT's A House for Arts, performed at festivals, and has sold out their Little Folks Shows at Caffè Lena four years running (2022–2025). Kids adore them. Parents do too.

With a rotating “recipe” that may feature a duo, trio, or a full band with special guests, the group always brings something fresh and joyful. Expect sing-alongs, creative takes on classic covers, and lively original tunes that spark imagination.
