The FCAA has organized an afternoon full of creative activities to do from our favorite creators and teachers!
Come down, learn about drop spinning with Ryan from Knotty by Nature, learn to mend from Shasta Lily-Barkman, workshops by Start Me Up Music & Art, and a cereal box piñata workshop.
Come for a KGK Kollage Demo from our Store Front Studio June artist: Roy Green’s exhibition “OwlTopia”
***********************************************
In the evening there will be a “Episode and Chat” by Bon Victoriage —Victoria’s first and only documentary travel program-on-a-pedicab!
The episode in question, punk-themed episode, “a quiet city with loud music,” follows program presenter and showrunner Johnny Brenneman on a journey visiting historic venues around the city—including the FCAA’s Paul Phillips Hall!—with a cast of colourful local characters including author and radio host Jason Lamb (presenter of “the Punk Show” on the Zone 91-3), Murray Acton (frontman of legendary band Dayglo Abortions), City Councilor Matt Dell, teenage punk rockers Nuh Uh! the Band, and more. Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with Johnny Brenneman and other members of the cast and crew.
