Brought together by Lowell George and Bill Payne in 1969, Little Feat unites California rock, funk, jazz, country, and New Orleans swamp boogie into a rich gumbo that has been making people dance ever since. Perhaps that’s why the band has endured for 56 years, developing an incredible legacy of music. From hit songs like “Dixie Chicken,” “Oh, Atlanta,” “Willin’,” and “Fat Man in the Bathtub” to what is widely considered one of the best live albums in the history rock ’n roll, "Waiting for Columbus,” the music continues to carry them forward.
Feeling the weight of five decades of bus travel, Little Feat announced with tongue somewhat in cheek “The Last Farewell Tour.” It’s a gradual wind-down where Little Feat will continue to perform and record for as long as they are able. The band features longtime members Bill Payne (keyboard), Kenny Gradney (bass), Sam Clayton (percussion), and Fred Tackett (guitar). Joining them on the road are Tony Leone (drums) and Scott Sharrard (guitar).
