Wednesday, 18 November | 6:30pm-8pm
Venue: Scéal cafe next to the yoga studio
Tickets €15
We would love to see you at our Little bird book club and look forwward to welcoming you into the cafe, now run by the lovely people at Scéal bakery. We meet on a Wednesday of each month, to discuss a book that we have read, the ideas behind it, and many other themes and threads that evolve in shared conversation.
For our November book club we will be discussing "Land" by Maggie O'Farrell.
"Land is a novel about separation and reunion, tragedy and recovery, colonisation and rebellion. It is a story of buried treasure, overlapping lives, ancient woodland, persistent ghosts, a particularly loyal dog, and how, when it comes to both land and history, nothing ever goes away. As spellbinding and various as the landscape that inspired it, Land is, above all, a story of survival, for our times, and for all time." Waterstones
Tickets include a glass or two of wine (or tea if preferred) and shared snacks.
Come with / make friends.
