About this Event
Do you have a creative little artist at home?
Want to develop their skills but not sure how?
Do they have a vision they want to bring to life?
At the little artists club 6+ we support your childs inner artist by encouraging them to explore their own style, subjects and interest through guided projects that your child and their teacher will develop together.
Projects will be based on your childs interests to keep them engaged in learning throughout their time at the studio, the teachers will then support skill development in drawing, a medium selected by the student, and subject matter that the student enjoys which could be a movement, a particular style or imagery.
It is important that your child is at the center of their learning with us at Motyl Studio, this support development in critical thinking, decision making, and problem solving.
We will incorporate art history during classes that relate to your childs chosen artist pathway, this will support your childs knowledge in knowing where their style comes from and they ways of the masters before them.
Projects will last around 4 weeks and take longer, becoming more complex as your cihlds skills develop, you can sign your child up for 4 weeks and choose to continue classes after this by letting your childs teacher know they wish to attend ongoing, until notified by the parent or carer.
What to expect in the first week:
Students will choose a word that means something to them and begin sketching what comes to mind as teachers support their technical skill through careful instruction and demonstration, this will be the start of the students first project.
By the end of the class students will have began their first drawing and will have began creating ideas for their ongoing project.
Parents are welcome to attend at the end of the class where their child can show them what they have been working on and also give you the opportunity to speak with their teachers.
All materials are provided during the class and we ask that children attend in clothing that is not precious to them, this is in case any materials get onto them, some materials may not wash out.
