About this Event

In a year when Passover, Easter and Ramadan coincide, Camden Council in collaboration with JW3, The Walk Productions and the GLA will welcome Little Amal’s ‘global symbol of human rights’, back to London to meet with communities of faith and of no faith across Camden.

On Sunday 2nd April, Little Amal will go between JW3, Alexandra and Ainsworth Estate, Somers Town, British Library and Granary Square. Little Amal’s Spring Gathering will be a welcoming celebration of Camden’s inter-faith communities and multiculturalism and Camden’s status as a Borough Sanctuary.


Join University of the Arts London at the British Library for an afternoon of arty illumination! We will guide you in the process of making lanterns informed by geometric pattern, incorporating light, and inspired by Islamic ornament. The lanterns will be used in the procession starting at 17:30 following Amal through Somers Town and into Granary Square.

Workshop materials are provided.

There are 2 workshop slots, so please book the timing that works best for you. The two slots are:

15:30 - 16:15 and 16:15 - 17:00

Who can attend?

Workshops are for the whole community including families and individuals and are suitable for people aged 6 to any age. Children under 16 need to be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
