The Rotary Club of the Studios & Elstree and Borehamwood is proud to announce its next community environmental initiative: Litter Picking Day on Saturday 20th September 2025 .
Over the years, our club has organised biannual litter picks to help support campaigns like Keep Britain Tidy, targeting residential areas and local open spaces around Borehamwood . These efforts bring together club members, local residents, youth groups, and town councillors in an inspiring display of civic engagement and environmental care.
In past events, our volunteers – including Scouts, club leaders, local youth representatives, and family members – gathered on crisp Autumn mornings, equipped with litter-picking tools and high-vis jackets kindly provided by Hertsmere Borough Council, to clean up discarded cans, bottles, wrappers, and more . The collected waste was then handled by the council’s collection services.
