About this Event

Literature in Translation Book Group with Mandy and Maritza
Discusses Traces of Enayat by Iman Mersal, translated by Robin Moger
Led by Greenlight booksellers Mandy and Maritza, our Literature in Translation Book Group meets monthly to discuss books from around the world, with a particular focus on marginalized voices and indie presses.

For April, the group discusses Traces of Enayat by Egyptian writer and poet Iman Mersal and translated from the Arabic by Robin Moger. A National Book Critics Circle Award Finalist, from one of the preeminent poets of the Arabic-speaking world, Traces of Enayat is a brilliant work of creative nonfiction retracing the mysterious life and erasure of Egyptian literature's tragic heroine: Enayat al-Zayyat.
