About this Event

As a London EdTech Hub, Woodland Academy Trust is proud to support schools and educators across the region in exploring how educational technology can be used purposefully to improve teaching, strengthen inclusion, enhance assessment and reduce barriers to learning.

Join us at Willow Bank Primary School to explore how technology, including Olex AI, an AI-powered writing tool, can reduce barriers to writing and support pupils through the writing process, through examples from practice, professional discussion and classroom visits.

We will:

• See how pupils use Olex AI as part of the writing process, including planning, drafting, editing and improving.
• Explore how technology can support idea generation, vocabulary development, sentence structure and pupil confidence.
• Consider how AI-supported feedback can be used safely and purposefully, while keeping teacher judgement and pupil ownership at the centre.
• Consider how AI-supported tools can reduce unnecessary workload linked to feedback and marking.
• Look at examples of writing before and after feedback, with a focus on improvement rather than AI-generated outcomes.
