A Spanglish writing workshop. Engage in a writing discovery of your two selves, inspired by Frida Kahlo's famous painting, "Las Dos Fridas." Recognizing who we are now versus who we were leads us to the art of loving and accepting others as they are. We see each other as unique works-in-progress masterpieces contributing to this world. Leading us to the art of unity by recognizing In Lak'ech: "Tú eres mi otro yo. You are my other me. Si te hago daño a ti,. If I harm you,. Me hago daño a mi mismo. I harm myself. Si te amo y respeto, If I love and respect you, Me amo y respeto yo. I love and respect myself." Writing workshop led by experienced and well-known educator, community member, and board member, Federico Almarez.
