Professor Malata, a certified Nurse Midwife from Malawi, has devoted her career to improving maternal and newborn health, championing girls' education, and advancing healthcare quality on a global scale. Professor Malata is a renowned international speaker, author, and editor in health, nursing, midwifery, and the health workforce. She serves on various global and national boards and is a passionate advocate for girls’ and women’s empowerment through education. Her research focuses on maternal and newborn health, quality of care, health workforce, and innovation in technology.
