Important Information:
Please be aware that a series of
experimental psychological tests will be conducted across a selection of live music establishments within the Greater Manchester and Calderdale areas for an indefinite period of time. These tests will employ diverse experimental auditory materials in order to assess responses indicative of amusia among consenting subject groups. Ensuring environment fidelity is imperative to maximize the efficacy of these materials during the stimulus exposition and subject interpretation phases. Therefore, our standard procedural testing model necessitates the use of authentic live music establishments as environments for these experiments. A list of sites appropriated for these experiments has been provided below.
The seventh series of Listening Tests marks the return of our unconventional approach to psychological experimentation methodology after a six-year hiatus prompted by legal disputes and preventative health and safety regulations. You are cordially invited to participate in these experiments as a subject just as you would be informally invited to attend a conventional music concert via means of traditional advertising. Subjects of the Listening Test are likely to have a nice time, though they should be prepared for an extremely diverse range of contrasting and experimental auditory materials to be demonstrated to them in order to generate the necessary temperamental psychosociological conjecture between conflicting auditory trends for study.
Over the past six years we have collaborated with experts in law, structural engineering, psychoacoustics, artificial intelligence, computer science, quantum biology, sociology, mathematics, parapsychology and psychology in order to develop comprehensive set of rigorous protocols, safety measures and practices collectively known as the Site Installation Interface Trial and Safety Assessment (SIITSA). A Site Installation Interface Trial and Safety Assessment has been carried out at all the venues that have been appropriated for Listening Tests henceforth in order to ensure that the full spectrum of testing procedures at our disposal may be utilised and to address any attempted interference
into these operations from concerned parties, venue management or business owners with legal recourse.

We want participants to be as comfortable as possible during these tests. Alcohol will be available. The use of illegal substances is not permissible due to the likelihood of interference with test results Cake will be available at this event.
These Listening tests will use
contrasting fringe and experimental auditory materials in order to test for responses indicative of Amusia within the subject group. Some of the materials for this Listening test will definitely be considered inappropriate or ridiculous. Listener discretion is strongly advised. We cannot say this enough. This is a Listening Test, not a music concert.
