About this Event

On Thursday, August 6, from 5 PM - 8 PM, we invite you to share space with us for Listening Hours with Yaw Agyeman in A Listening Space, where he'll present "In the Company of Singers," a special session sharing the artists whose voices have profoundly pushed his own.

From Donny Hathaway to Robert Plant, Yaw will spin songs by the vocalists who have expanded his musical imagination. Artists who stoked his curiosity about singing, challenged his understanding of what the human voice could do, and who continue to inspire his vocal pursuits and creative process.
Beneath the voices are a community of listeners, arrangers, musicians, engineers, and producers who helped that voice become what we remember. The selections honor not only the singers, but the aural architecture surrounding them—the people whose care made these songs possible.

Please reserve your spot as space is limited.

About Listening Hours

Continuing our investment in the sonic architecture of Black space, Listening Hours welcomes all to gather with us in space, sound, and silence. Each session invites you to join our team and special guests as we deepen our presence and aural attention with each of their record selections.

Listening hours are held every Thursday through Saturday from 12 PM to 8 PM. We look forward to welcoming you as we honor listening as a form of study, grounding, and becoming.
