Listening Garden

Listening Garden is an evening gathering of ambient improvised music, creativity, and quiet connection, nestled within the lush tropical greenhouse at Kinnickinnick Landing.

Every day we take in an incredible amount of information; notifications, conversations, responsibilities, opinions. The output or expression of what we take in is an essential part of the listening cycle. Creativity gives us a chance to respond to everything we've absorbed, allowing thoughts, emotions, and ideas to move through us rather than remain bottled up.

This is your invitation to slow down and let that process unfold.

Bring your knitting, a journal, a sketchbook, or simply yourself. Art and writing supplies will also be available if inspiration strikes. There is no expectation to create something "good" or even to create at all. You might draw, write, doodle, reflect, or simply sit among the plants and let the music wash over you.

Whether you're feeling overstimulated, tired-but-wired, craving a break from screens, or just enjoy hanging out with plants, the Listening Garden is the place to be.
