About this Event
Join Natalie Hung, PhD – a TC member and clinical psychologist – for this Listening Circle for People of the Global Majority (PGM). PGM include those of Black, Asian, Latin American, Middle Eastern, Indigenous North and South American, First Nations, Pacific Islander, and multiracial heritage who together comprise 80% of the world’s population.
Participants will have a chance to meet other PGM, share their experiences in predominantly white environments, and foster belonging, empowerment, and self-compassion. Feedback from this session will be used to develop future workshops for PGM.
Natalie is a second generation Taiwanese American clinical psychologist and writer who integrates animist, relational, and trauma-informed perspectives. She seeks to awaken liberatory possibilities by transforming stories that hold people captive into stories that set them free.
She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the City University of New York and her B.A. in Film Studies from Yale University. Her areas of interest include intergenerational and collective trauma, dissociation, and complex PTSD; Asian American racialization; and grief.
