Lisbon Improv Classes: Advancing Scene Work

Are you an improviser who wants to improve your skills? Would you like to take your scene work to a higher level? Do you want to discover some new techniques related to keeping the flow going in a scene?

The upcoming Lisbon Improv Classes are an advanced course specifically designed for those who have already tried improvisational theatre and want to build their skills in creating and maintaining a strong scene.

Sharpen your skills in listening, supporting, leading and following. We will practice moving scenes forward together with a focus on timing, connecting themes and characters and their emotionality in relationship.

We will learn about possibilities in storytelling and explore new scene formats like mid form structures. This includes second beats, edits and three-person scenes. We will look deeply into the relationship between the characters, their wants and desires, and explore inner worlds via monologues and the power of silence.

To bring different dynamics into improvisation, we will explore theatrical elements such as movement and rhythm and take a look at genre work.

Basic improv experience is required and this course is open to all levels of language skills.

Open Class: Would you like to take a taster class to see if the course meets your expectations? Then you can also book just the first class for 16 €.
