Lisa Lucero grew up in McPherson, Kansas. She graduated from McPherson High School and Fort Hays State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in communications. She also attended Hutchinson Community College, where she majored in journalism.She is married to Jeremy Shapiro and has a son. She currently resides in Newton, Iowa.
During her spare time, she loves to travel, read, listen to music, and spend time with her family.
Lucero is currently employed at Grinnell College as an administrative assistant I- data and records. She recently published her third novel, "The Re-Creation of the Death Firm." Lucero is in the progress of writing her fourth novel.
