Our Liquid Soap & Bees Wax Candle Workshop combines two great hands-on activities. Since the Liquid Soap process requires a down time of 2 hours, it’s the perfect opportunity to make an additional project: Rolled Bees Wax Candles. Liquid soap comes out like a paste, and can be stored indefinitely. It needs to be diluted in water and/or glycerine before use. Students will be making 2 batches: a coconut oil (cleansing) and an olive or sunflower oil (conditioning). We use the coconut oil soap for laundry soap, and a combination of the coconut & olive oil for shampoo.
Students should bring a container for their Liquid Soap such as a rubber covered bin or large mason jar (liquid soap is stored as soap balls). Students are also welcome to bring their own essence oil (we will have a variety on location). Please remember to bring a tote bag or box to transport your Soap and Candles safely home.
This class includes a $40 materials fee included in the cost of registration.
