The 11th Annual Lipstick Wars Poetry Slam takes place Saturday, June 6 at The Kentucky Center, bringing together women poets from across the country for a night of competition and storytelling.
Participants will compete for up to $3,000 in cash prizes, with performances judged on content, delivery, and overall impact.
The evening kicks off early with a Juneteenth Happy Hour starting at 5:00 PM in the Main Lobby, featuring complimentary food and drinks plus the Lipstick Wars Vendor Market. A perfect opportunity for connecting, celebrating, and setting the tone for the night. The slam begins at 6:30 PM in the Bomhard Theater.
This event continues to uplift women’s voices through poetry, performance, and culture—all on one stage. 💄
