A three day class. DATES: Tuesdays 12-2pm, April 2, 9, and 16 OR Fridays 6-8pm, April 5, 12, and 19
Additional studio time will also be available to students outside of class time.
In this engaging 3 sessions hands-on class, you'll explore the art of linoleum block printmaking, a process known for its versatility and expressive outcomes. Whether you're a novice or an experienced artist, this class offers a dynamic space for artistic exploration.
What to Expect: Discover the intricacies of linocut as you carve your designs onto linoleum blocks, applying ink and transferring your creations onto paper. From crafting your initial draft to the satisfying moment of peeling back your first print, each session is designed to deepen your understanding and appreciation for this timeless printmaking technique.
Materials: All necessary materials, including linoleum blocks, carving tools, inks, and paper, will be provided. You are welcome to bring a notebook or sketchbook to take notes or sketch ideas down. Other than that, bring an abundance of enthusiasm and a creative spirit!
Instructor: Our experienced instructor, Bonny Beth from Stickman Studios, brings passion and expertise to lead you every step of the way of linoleum block printmaking. With a background in the arts, Bonny Beth is dedicated to helping you unlock your artistic potential.
