Linocut Workshop
About this Event
Workshop Overview:
Discover the art of linocut and create your own custom greeting cards or tote bag in this hands-on workshop with local artist Jyll Mullen. Participants will be guided through the process of designing an image, carving it into a linoleum stamp, and using their stamp to produce handmade cards perfect for birthdays, holidays, or everyday notes of gratitude. Or, make a uniquely designed tote bag to carry you everyday items, art supplies, or groceries.
No prior experience is required—Jyll will walk you step-by-step through each stage, from conceptualizing your image to printing your cards. Each participant will leave the workshop with three completed cards with envelopes, or one canvas tote bag. You will also leave with your own linocut stamp to continue making items at home.
All materials are provided, and the workshop is designed to encourage creativity, play, and personal expression in a supportive environment. Whether you’re new to linocut or simply looking for a creative way to make meaningful gifts, this workshop offers a fun, hands-on experience that turns your ideas into art you can share.
