Linocut Block Printing Art Workshop

Block printing is a traditional printmaking technique where designs are carved onto a flat block of material, such as linoleum or wood, and then inked and stamped onto paper or fabric. In our block printing class, students will learn the basics of block printing, including how to design and carve their own blocks, mix inks, and make multiple prints.

You will also explore the versatility of this medium, experimenting with different techniques to create unique, hand-made prints. The class is perfect for those interested in learning a new printmaking method or for those looking to develop their creative skills in a fun and hands-on way.

You'll enjoy this class because it provides a hands-on and creative learning experience. Block printing is a fun and accessible way to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind prints, and the process of designing, carving, and printing is both challenging and rewarding.

This means you can show up, learn, and have a great time. It also means there are no secret extra costs. We will have ink, carving tools, the lino, rollers, and plenty of things to print on.

Never created a linocut before? Don't worry! This hands-on class is beginner friendly, even if it is your first time. Our teacher, Josh, will get you started from scratch. All the tools and materials are provided.

Even if you have experience with linocut and block printing, we can work together to explore advanced techniques like multi-color reduction prints. This class is flexible to adapt to your skill level.
