Lino Printing - Create a jigsaw cut

Learn how to design, cut and print a jigsaw cut lino print. Create beautiful prints to be proud of.

W hat is a jigsaw cut? It's an easy way to print with 2 colours, but only use one piece of lino (called a 'plate'). It is perfect for bold designs, where there is no overlap of colour. You create and carve your design, and then chop up the lino into sections. You then ink them up separately and place the pieces back together before printing.

I advise you have some basic experience of lino cutting before booking this session.

Please note, the tools we will use are sharp. Ages 16+ only.

Time: 1.30am to 4pm (2.5 hours)

Date: Saturday 16th May 2026

Venue: Eaton Park Community Centre, Norwich, NR4 7AZ

Design: We will be designing, cutting and printing a 10 x 15cm softcut lino in two colours. You will then use this to create some beautiful prints.

Included: All materials are provided - cutters, ink, rollers, paper etc. There is limited free parking on site, but Eaton Park itself has a large pay and display car park.

Refreshments: There will be tea/coffee and biscuits also included in the price. Please let me know if you have any allergies or intolerances at least one week before the session.

If you have a basic grasp of lino cut and would like to take the next step from printing in one colour, this workshop is a perfect progression. I’ll talk you through every stage and will offer group and individual support throughout the session.
