Design a striking lino-cut print with added interest using collaged paper in the Chine-Colle technique. This creative printmaking workshop is a great introduction to the traditional technique of Lino-cut.Suitable for beginners and for those with some experience alike, the workshop begins with carving and printing a simple practice block. Plenty of 1:1 help will be given when needed. Participant numbers are limited to the very low number of 4 to ensure you have plenty of room to work and lots of attention and support from me.
Once you have learned the basics, or refreshed your skills, you will be encouraged to design and carve a larger printing block with the Chine-Colle technique in mind.
Chine-Colle is a nifty technique where swatches or cut shapes of thin coloured or patterned paper are added to the artwork during the printing process.
Printing a small edition of your design gives you the opportunity to explore the playful and striking effects that can be achieved using different papers to add colour, texture and interest to your design
