Develop your own personal linocut practice in a relaxed social setting, with an on-hand tutor to help with any queries. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced printmaker looking for a supportive environment to work in, these laidback sessions are for you!
What’s included?
Guidance from tutor, Jess Van Baalen
Use of the print presses at the Devonport Guildhall Studios
Inks and lino tools are free to use, all other materials can either be brought from home or bought during the session
Teas and Coffee
Sessions will be run on the first Sunday of the month, 10am-1pm. Bring along work in progress, sketches or ideas for prints, or finished prints that you would like to share and get stuck in with the art of Lino!

About the Tutor:
Jess Van Baalen is an artist and printmaker inspired by nature, folklore, and storytelling. Since graduating from Brighton University in 2022 with a degree in Illustration, she has focused on combining the natural world with narrative and myth. Drawn to the tactile process of lino printing, she creates bold, textured work that celebrates landscape, cultural stories, and everyday magic
